ELKA PRO – QUALITY MATTERS
WATERPROOF FABRIC AND WATERPROOF SEAMS
We are experts in high-frequency welding, which is the absolute strongest production technology for waterproof workwear in PU – because with high-frequency welding you achieve a joint that is as strong as the material itself. The result is PU products with a high water column pressure of 10,000 mm – with both waterproof fabric and waterproof seams.
HIGH TEAR STRENGTH
ELKA PRO is produced with a unique PU coating that acts as a waterproof membrane, and which increases the wear resistance and resistance to tears and cracking. The PU is applied to the knitted polyamide fabric, which is much stronger than e.g. polyester, and together with the innate stretch of the fabric, it optimizes the tear strength and thus the product’s durability and life span.
WATER-REPELLENT BACKING
ELKA PRO is made with a special, water-repellent backing – and it is an advantage if you are in a working position where it is unavoidable that water gets up under the rainwear. Thanks to the water-repellent backing, the water will just settle as drops on top of the fabric, from where it runs downwards – and the clothes will remain dry and comfortable.
REINFORCEMENTS
To avoid breakage during heavy stretches, we make sure to reinforce the welds in particularly exposed places. This applies under the arms of smocks and coveralls and in the crotch of bib & braces, trousers and coveralls.
EUROPEAN CERTIFICATIONS
High quality – it’s not just something we say ourselves. ELKA PRO meets European standards for protective clothing, approved by accredited test institutes. All ELKA PRO products are certified EN 343 (protective clothing against water). In addition most of the products are EN 14605-certified (protective clothing against liquid chemicals) as well as EN 14126-certified (protective clothing against infectious agents). The certification means that the individual product has been tested and that you are sure to get a product that meets the EU-set standards for safety and performance.
ADJUST THE BRACES ON YOUR BIB & BRACE
When using ELKA’s bib & brace products, pay attention to adjusting the braces so that the trousers fit in the crotch.
If the trousers do not fit in the crotch, the load on the weld becomes too big and the PU coating is lifted off the polyamide backing. Therefore – adjust the braces, and your overalls will last as long as possible.
