RIS 3279 TOM - RAILWAY GROUP STANDARD

The RIS 3279 TOM standard is based on the European standard EN 471:2003 + A1:2007. It requires garments to meet at least class 2 (the mid-point of a 3-class scale) of EN 471 for the minimum area of high-visibility materials used within a garment. Whereas the European standard permits several different colors of high-visibility materials, the railway standard specifies an orange color.

EN 342 - PROTECTION AGAINST COOL ENVIRONMENTS

This standard specifies requirements and test methods for the performance of garments for protection against the effects of cool environments equal to or below -5°C. These effects comprise not only low air temperatures, but also humidity and air velocity.

EN 14058 - PROTECTION AGAINST THE COLD

This standard specifies requirements and test methods for the performance of garments for protective against the effects of cool environments above -5°C. These effects comprise not only low air temperatures, but also humidity and air velocity.

EN 1186 - GLAS AND FORK

This product, which is labeled “Glass & Fork”, can be used as waterproof garments in the context ofworker tasks in the food processing industry, e.g. cleaning, slaughtering and packing.

EN ISO 13034 - PROTECTION AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS

Performance requirements for chemical protective clothing offering limited protective performance against liquid chemicals (type 6 and type PB (6) equipment)

All our offshore products meet the European standards for protective features, performance and design. The requirements are established to improve the protecting effect and thus also the personal occupational safety.

EN 14605 - PROTECTION AGAINST LIQUID CHEMICALS

Performance requirements for clothing with liquid-tight (type 3) or spray-tight (type 4) connections, including items providing protection to parts of the body only (types PB (3) and PB (4))

Description is provided for the individual ELKA product.

EN 14126 - PROTECTION AGAINST INFECTIVE AGENTS

This standard specifies requirements and test methods for re-usable and limited use protective clothing providing protection against infective agents.

EN ISO 11611 - PROTECTION WHEN WELDING

This type of protective clothing is intended to protect the wearer against weld spatter (small splashes of molten metal), short-term contact with flames as well as radiant heat from the electric arc. Under normal welding conditions, it offers limited electrical insulation against electric conductors of up to 100 V DC. This standard sets out two classes with specific performance requirements (class 1 is for lower requirements, class 2 for higher requirements).

EN 1149-5 - PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ELECTROSTATIC PROPERTIES

Part 5: Requirements for the material’s performance and design

All our offshore products meet the European standards for protective features, performance and design. The requirements are established to improve the protecting effect and thus also the personal occupational safety.

EN ISO 14116 - PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME

Limited flame spred materials, material assemblies and clothing.

EN ISO 11612 - PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME

This international standard specifies the minimum requirements for clothing protecting against heat and/or flames. In a wide variety of fields of application, the wearer can also be exposed to convective, radiant or contact heat, as well as splashes of molten metal. Within the standard, letters A-F define the performance levels relating to the protective properties listed above.

IEC 61482-2 - PROTECTION AGAINST THE THERMAL HAZARDS OF AN ELECTRIC ARC

This type of protective clothing is intended to protect the wearer against thermal effects of a defined electric fault arc and prevents continued burning. The clothing protects the wearer against a certain type of heat in connection with an electric arc. The heat can be convective and radiating, caused by splashes of molten metal, or also a combination of the two aforementioned hazards.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every article bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances. The certified article is therefore harmless to human health.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 - RECYCLED

The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification is available for both traditionally manufactured products and products containing recycled materials. However, the appearance of the OEKO-TEX icon differs slightly when a product with recycled materials is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. In this case, the letter “R” is added to the label number. Thus, OEKO-TEX® with an "R" in the label number documents that recycled material is included in a product, in addition to naturally documenting that the product has been tested for harmful substances.
